Piazza Duomo

Overlooking Piazza del Duomo, the Cathedral of San Vigilio is Trento’s main religious building. Built between the 12th and 13th centuries in the Romanesque-Lombard style, it is dedicated to the city’s patron saint and is famous for having hosted important sessions of the Council of Trent.
Castello del Buonconsiglio
The Castello del Buonconsiglio is the most important historical monument in Trento and for centuries it was the residence of the prince-bishops. The complex combines medieval and Renaissance elements, houses precious frescoes, including the famous Cycle of the Months in the Aquila Tower, and today hosts the city’s main museum.
